Setting Up and Sending Email on the Fly
Do you mail a friend very regulary..? If so, you can save time by creating a desktop shortcut that creates preaddressed messages using your default email client. Just right-click on a clear area of the Windows desktop and select New/Shortcut from the shortcut menu. In the Command Line text box, type mailto: followed by an email address (mailto:rdnet@ukonline.co.uk, for example). Click Next and type a name in the Select A Name For The Shortcut text box. Click Finish, and the new shortcut appears on your desktop. When you double-click on the shortcut, your default email client opens with the address you specified in the To: address box. Simply complete and send the preaddressed message as you normally would. You can do this for several of your most used EMail addesses, you can also carry this principal over to internet shortcuts to your favorite web pages.
