Open Access objects with disposable toolbar icons
Sometimes you may find yourself switching back and forth between the same set of database objects. If they aren't all the same type (for instance, tables and forms), switching between sheets of the Database window can become tiresome. When you find yourself in this situation, create a toolbar button that opens the object for you. To create the button, just drag the object from the Database window up to an existing toolbar - Access creates a button with the appropriate icon. This doesn't work for modules, but you can use the technique for tables, forms, reports, queries, and macros. If you have multiple buttons for the same type of object, Access displays a ToolTip when you hover your mouse pointer over the button, indicating what the button will open. When you've finished working on the database, you'll want to remove the buttons so as not to cause confusion when other files are open. To remove a button, just hold down the [Alt] key and drag the button off of the toolbar.
