Forgot where you found that file

If you're like most Internet users, you download files left and right. Sometimes, you may need to return to a site where you downloaded a particular file, perhaps to download another file you remember seeing there. But with all the software download sites out there, you may have forgotten from which site you downloaded that file. If you have the originally downloaded file--the file before you unstuffed it--you can use it to determine where you found it. (This is a good reason to keep downloaded, compressed files; another reason is for backup purposes.) Simply select the file and press [command]I to open the Get Info dialog box. You'll find the file's origin URL in the Comments panel.
