Removing Quick Time 4.0 You should know that when you use the QuickTime 4.0 installer to uninstall QuickTime 4.0, not all of QuickTime's components are removed. After launching the installer, clicking through the license agreements, arriving at the Custom install screen, choosing uninstall, and running the uninstaller script you'll find that although most of QuickTime 4.0's components have been removed, the Sound Manager extension remains in your Extensions folder. If you want to remove every single bit of QuickTime, you must manually drag the Sound Manager extension to the trash.
