Making A Windows 95 Startup Disk
When you installed Windows 95 on to your PC, you were given the option to create a Startup Disk, this is a "boot disk" that includes diagnostic and repair utilities. If you did not choose to make this disk this tip tip shows you how to make one. Open the Control Panel (Start, Settings, Control Panel) and double-click Add/Remove Programs. Select the Startup Disk tab, then click the Create Disk button. When asked, place a blank 1.44MB disk in your floppy drive, click OK, and wait while Windows 95 makes the disk. (You may be prompted to place your Windows 95 CD-ROM in the drive.) Be sure to put the disk in a safe place so that if your Windows 95 Installtion fails then you have this disk to hand.
