Turning of the CD Autorun Feature

Many people don't like to have a CD automatically start when inserted into the drive.  To tunr this function off  here is the REG file; where it says "BLANK LINE GOES HERE," press the return key. As always, proceed with caution when editing the Registry.

REGEDIT4
BLANK LINE GOES HERE
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdrom]
"Autorun"=dword:00000000
BLANK LINE GOES HERE

If you create and merge this REG file, your Windows NT Workstation 4.0 will no longer autostart CDs with an Autorun file. However,  you can leave Autorun enabled and disable the feature on a per-CD basis. All you have to do is hold down the Shift key while you insert the CD.
