Using RAW to speed up printing If your printing is slow you could change the printing mode. When using the RAW mode, Windows NT Workstation 4.0 doesn't have to convert the data sent to the printer to metafile format. To change the printing mode, just click Start, Settings, Printers. When the Printers window opens, right-click your printer icon and choose Properties. In the Properties dialog box, click the General tab. Now click Print Processor and select the check box labeled Always Spool RAW Datatype. This does not always work but it generally does speed up printing. |
